Finally, Microsoft has started rolling out the first major Windows Phone 7 update a couple of hours ago. However, the update could take a while to reach you of you have a carrier branded device.
Fret not! A workaround has already been reported that enables carrier branded HTC users to disguise their phone as a non-branded Windows Phone 7 device to reach the update faster. The technique lets the system into believing that it is carrier independent and ready for the update. However, the hack is for HTC devices only and should be done only at your own risk!
