Today at CTIA Sprint unveiled the HTC EVO 3D smartphone. It's HTC's first phone to feature 3D, as well as their first greater-than-WVGA resolution device, sporting a qHD 960x540 display. Adding to the list of firsts, the EVO 3D is HTC's first dual-core device, sporting two 1.2GHz cores on a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.
The HTC EVO 3D smartphone was unveiled by Sprint at CTIA today. The device id HTCs first to feature 3D, and is also the first to break the WVGA resolution bar, with a qHD 960x540 display. It is also HTCs first dual-core device, having two 1.2GHz cores on a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.
You can even watch special 3D content, or video taken with the dual 5MP 3D cameras in the back, without those bulky glasses. There is a dedicated switch near the camera to switch between 2D and 3D modes. Also included is a 1.3MP camera for video chat.
The device would ship with Androids latest, 2.3 Gingerbread. It is a 4G phone and can certainly do without WiMax. It can even act as a hotspot for up to 8 devices. If you are among the select few that own a 3D TV, you can even use the EVO eDs HDMI output to display 3D content.
Truly, one of the best devices we have had our hands on for a while.
